Santa Claus

It's SantaSanta Claus is one of the most important people involved with Christmas. Every year Santa Claus delivers gifts, presents and good will to millions of people around the world. Across the world he is know by several different names; Santa Claus, Father Christmas, Old Saint Nick, Saint Nichola and Kris Kingle are some of the most popular.

No one quite knows the full history of Santa, but most Santa experts think that Santa is in fact a Bishop from Turkey, called Saint Nicholas, who every year gave presents to children on Christmas day.

Santa lives in the North Pole with Mrs Claus and his elves, throughout the year Santa keeps a list of all those children who are "Naughty or Nice", children who are good are given gifts and toys on Christmas morning, those who are naughty are given a lump of coal.

In the olden days, when children wanted handmade toys like spinning tops or rocking horses, Santa's elves made toys for all the children across the world. In modern times the elves now work with toy makers across the world in order to keep up with modern times. Santa has set up partnerships with toy makers so that he can pick up almost any toy invented for good children. Santa also has links with Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft in order to keep up with the times.

Santa is a kindly, round-bellied, merry, bespectacled man in a red coat trimmed with white fur, with a long white beard. He travels around the world in his red sleigh pulled by nine reindeer Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner (or Donder), Blitzen and Rudolph.
